This has been an exciting year for the service as all our mobile vans have been equipped with the latest digital equipment enabling us to offer the best possible service.
The breast screening service is contributing to a national trial extending the screening age to women between the ages of 47 and 73. At present those being invited in the new age groups are randomised into the trial but this will extend to all women in this age group by 2016.
The Beds & Herts Breast Screening Service is part of the Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
